Is CBD right for me?

We are learning more and more about CBDs everyday. If you are interested in taking a CBD supplement it is always best to do your own research and decide whether or not CBDs will be beneficial for you and your lifestyle.

Is CBD legal?

Our CBD is extracted from Industrial Hemp. Under the 2014 U.S Farm Bill extracts from domestic industrial hemp are legal as a nutrition or health food or supplement.

Will I fail a drug test while using CBD?

Employers test for drugs in a variety of ways. Most drug tests test for the presence of delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and do not detect the presence of Cannabidiols (CBD) or other legal hemp based constituents.

However, studies have shown that using hemp foods and oils can cause confirmed positive results when screening blood and urine specimens. If you are subject to drug screening we recommend that you DO-NOT ingest any of our hemp based products.

As always, we recommend doing your own research prior to taking any supplements.

Where does your CBD come from?

Our CBD comes from Organic Industrial Hemp grown in Colorado. Our extractor works with a variety of Industrial Hemp farmers that practice sustainable hemp farming.

Is there THC in your products?

Our products contain very little THC if any. In order for hemp products to be federally legal in th United States the maximum amount of THC that a hemp product can contain is 0.3%. The level of THC is low enough that you won't experience any psychotropic effects.

What will I feel?

Everyone is different. Some people report feeling a relaxed or calming effect from taking CBDs. Not everyone will have the same experience with CBDs though.

Are there any side effects?

Stomach discomfort has been reported when taking large amounts of CBDs at once. CBDs may have a slight sedative effect.

Can CBDs interact with my medications?

If you are on medications, please consult with your doctor before taking any new supplements including our CBD supplements, both topically and internally.

Can CBDs get you high?

Absolutely not. In order to be legally considered hemp, the hemp plant must contain less than 0.3% THC. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive chemical compound found in cannabis. The 0.3% amount of THC is negligible and cannot produce a high. In fact, CBD is known to counteract the psychoactive properties of THC.

Is Dragonfly Hemp/CBD oil the same oil I have seen in the grocery stores?

People can buy hemp seeds and hemp seed oil in stores, but it is NOT the same as hemp oil extract. Oil extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant is extremely nutritious but does not contain phytocannabinoids, which are a part of a diverse class of chemical compounds. Hemp oil extract contains many phytocannabinoids including cannabidiol (CBD), which is being studied extensively for its beneficial properties. Hemp seed oil does not contain CBD.
